Chino Hills man big in BAE


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Scott O'Brien of Chino Hills has been named president of BAE Systems' Products Group business.

The Florida-based division, with more than 1,700 employees at 11 facilities worldwide, manufactures many of the world's most recognized brands of security products exclusively for law enforcement, corrections, military and licensed security professionals. Revenue for the division in 2006 was $324 million.

"Under Scott's stewardship, the Products Group has built a proven track record of success" said Walt Havenstein, president and CEO of BAE Systems Inc. "I have every confidence in Scott's leadership and his ability to continue to grow the business."

O'Brien is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization, chairman emeritus of the Toyota Motor Sales Supplier Alliance, a member of the Dean's Advisory Board at the School of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton and a guest lecturer at USC.

Sharrow gets management post


LAKE ARROWHEAD - Jim and Dottie Grimes, owners of Century 21 High Country, have named Garry Sharrow as the real-estate company's new managing broker. Sharrow will be responsible for overseeing the offices and agents.

Sharrow will oversee all agents in the firm's four locations in Lake Arrowhead, Blue Jay and Skyforest.

UFC ring girl Ali Sonoma, UFC fighter Joe "Daddy" Stevenson and K-1 champion Mighty Mo will be present throughout the day.
