Wedding announcements for 9-30-07

Eckhardt - Keller

Betsy Eckhardt and Ben Keller, both of Homewood, were married June 7, 2007, in the Grand Army Republic Rotunda at the Chicago Cultural Center. Rev. Susan Holstrum performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Mike and Karen Byrne of Tinley Park, and Marty and Merilee Eckhardt of Sacramento, Calif. The groom is the son of Jim and Chris Keller of Bourbonnais.

Matron of honor was Rebecca Franklin. Maid of honor was Audra Shalberg. Bridesmaids were Sarah Bashaw and Tracy Willet.

Best man was Eric Franklin. Groomsmen were Nik Rao, Scott Maples and Adam Kohr. Ring bearer was Evan Regnier, the groom’s nephew.

A reception was held at Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center.

The bride received a master’s degree in biology from the University of Illinois. She is employed by Argo School District in Summit. The groom received a bachelor’s degree in sound engineering from Columbia College. He is employed by Cutters Inc., in Chicago.

The honeymoon was taken to Ladera Resort in St. Lucia

Tolle - Kempen

Tracie Tolle of Chino, Calif., and John Kempen of Chebanse, were married May 18, 2007, at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado Canyon, Calif. Pastor Jeff Pries performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Sherri Tolle of Chino. The groom is the son of Nancy Timm of Chebanse and Roger Kempen of Bourbonnais.

Maid of honor was Danielle Maldonado. Bridesmaids were Allison Mangiafico, Julia Palasik, Allison Anderson, Sunny Woodall and Kay Wetherbee.

Best man was Sean Cornelius. Groomsmen were Nick Kempen, the groom’s cousin; Brandon Vondrak, Rob Stahler, Jeff Jacobson and Mike Ahlers.

A reception was also held at Rancho Las Lomas.

The bride is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif. She is employed by Verizon Wireless in Lake Forest, Calif. The groom is a graduate of Illinois State University in Normal. He is employed by Allergan Pharmaceuticals in Irvine, Calif.

The honeymoon was taken to Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Schlenz - Giles

Molly Schlenz of McRae, Ga., formerly of Kankakee, and Glenn Giles of Alamo, Ga., were married June 2, 2007, at Helena Baptist Church in Helena, Ga. Rev. Michael Pollard and Father William Leahy performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Gene and Linda Schlenz of McRae, formerly of Kankakee. The groom is the son of Terry and Kathy Giles of Georgia.

Matron of honor was Michelle Phillips, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Melissa Barnawell, the bride’s sister; Shelly Schlenz, the bride’s sister-in-law; Kasey Bridgewater, the bride’s cousin; Emily Bennett, Laura Walker and Jennifer Swain.
Junior bridesmaids were Emilee and MaryBeth Schlenz, the bride’s nieces. Flower girls were Bell Barnawell, the bride’s niece; and Katie Watkins.

Best man was Terry Giles, the groom’s father. Groomsmen were Mike Young, Greg Young, James McLaughlin, Justin Bush, Benny Livingston and Brian Gillis. Ring bearer was Mitchell Phillips, the bride’s nephew. Ushers were Michael Schlenz, the bride’s brother; and Josh Swain.

A reception was held at McRae Jaycee Hall.

The bride is attending Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Ga. She is employed by Smith’s Pharmacy in McRae. The groom is a graduate of Middle Georgia Police Academy. He is Chief of Police in Helena.

The honeymoon was taken to Cancun, Mexico.

David - Schramm

Erica David and Michael Schramm, both of Minooka, were married June 2, 2007, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Momence. Father Dan Hessling performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Carol David of Grant Park. The groom is the son of Robert and Joan Schramm of Ottawa.

The bride wore a floor length A-line, layered gown with a sweetheart neckline and beads.

Matrons of honor were Tonya David, the bride’s sister-in-law; and Erica Gillhouse. Bridesmaids were Julie Shreve, the groom’s sister; Amy Atkinson, Amy Pantalena, Tammy Balestri, Ashley Workman and Sara Weber. Flower girl was Lexi Schramm.

Best men were Tom and Jon Schramm, the groom’s brothers. Groomsmen were Greg David, the bride’s brother; Dan Shreve, the groom’s brother-in-law, John Atchley, Andy Perino, Mike Durdan and Chris Batty. Ring bearer was Evan Jurkovic.

A reception was held at the Quality Inn in Bradley.

The bride is a graduate of Illinois State University in Normal. She is employed by the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative. The groom is a graduate of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. He is a physical education teacher at Aux Sable Elementary School in the Minooka School District.

The honeymoon was taken to Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

Kannberg - Becker

Lisa Kannberg and Adam Becker, both of Champaign, were married June 23, 2007, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone. Rev. William Riegle performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of David and Louisa Kannberg of Wellington, Fla. The groom is the son of Susan and John Cook of Oakwood Hills, and Richard and Carol Becker of Mellen, Wis.

The bride wore a strapless, princess line satin gown with a lace-up corset back, featuring a semi-cathedral train insert and bodice band in Indigo blue. The gown had an embroidered floral design with pearl and crystal beads and sequins. A heart-shaped and crystal tiara secured her fingertip-length veil embroidered with a floral design. She carried a bouquet of lilies, carnations, roses, baby’s breath and assorted greens.

Maid of honor was Dominique Vieille. Bridesmaids were Laura Kannberg, the bride’s sister; and Courtney Crump. Flower girl was Sophie Kannberg, the bride’s cousin.

Best man was Ryan Jones. Groomsmen were Aaron Becker and Matthew Eucolon, the groom’s brothers. Ring bearer was Owen Joyner, the groom’s nephew.

A reception was held at the Moose Lodge in Bradley.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is employed by Barnes & Noble in Champaign.

The groom is a graduate of Mundelein High School. He is employed by Chevy’s Fresh Mex in Champaign.

The honeymoon was taken to the Florida Keys.

Hart - Mindt

Erin Hart and Michael Mindt, both of Milwaukee, Wis., were married June 23, 2007, on the beach at the Viva Wyndham Azteca Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, following a ceremony at Nuestra Senora del Carmen Catholic Church. Father Bernard Quinn performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Allan and Margaret Hart of Fairbury. The groom is the son of Gerald and Judy Mindt.

The bride wore a strapless organza over taffeta, A-line gown with a chapel-length train, featuring crystals and beading. A tiara secured her shoulder-length veil scattered with crystals for the church ceremony and a tiara for the beach ceremony.

Matron of honor was Melissa Nagel. Bridesmaids were Julie Vessel, Pattie Simmons and Lori Myers.

Best man was Dennis Schultze. Groomsmen were Tim and Greg Mindt, the groom’s brothers; and Gary Hirt.

A reception was held at IL Paco, Viva Wyndham Azteca.

The bride received a master’s degree in reading/learning disabilities from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis. She is a prekindergarten teacher for the Milwaukee Public Schools. The groom is a graduate of Vincent High School in Milwaukee, Wis. He is a driver for Yale Equipment and Service.

The honeymoon was also taken at the Viva Wyndham Azteca Resort in Playa del Carmen.

Hinrich - Greenley

Carrie Hinrich of Clifton and Dustin Greenley of Bourbonnais were married July 7, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church in Clifton. Rev. William Callister performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Peter and Bernice Hinrich of Clifton. The groom is the son of Jamie Greenley of Bourbonnais and the late Floren “Dody” Greenley.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Hummel. Bridesmaids were Erica Saathoff, the bride’s cousin; Heather Kits and Sarah Smith. Flower girl was Haley Kits.

Best man was Marty Walters. Groomsmen were Aarik Greenley, the groom’s cousin; Anthony Hinrich, the bride’s brother; and Jason Day. Ring bearer was Lucas Kits.

A reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kankakee.

The bride is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. She is a registered nurse at Riverside Medical Center. The groom is attending Kankakee Community College. He is an underground electrician for Commonwealth Edison.

The honeymoon will be a western Caribbean cruise in January.

Yurgine - Hoffman

Lindsey Yurgine and George Hoffman Jr. were married June 23, 2007, in an outdoor ceremony at the Epworth Heights in Ludington, Mich. Rev. Melody Johnson performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Yurgine of Bourbonnais. The groom is the son of Mrs. George Hoffman of Jacksonville and the late George Hoffman.

The bride wore a strapless sheath gown of Alecon lace over beige silk. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, orchids and roses.

Matron of honor was Sarah Hoffman, the groom’s sister. Maid of honor was Leslie Hoffman, the groom’s sister. Bridesmaids were Kelly Hogan, Julia Glynn, Meghan McLeod and Clare Tessman.

Best man was Peter Hoffman, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Greg Bell, Robert Pierce, Richard Rowe III, Nicholas Rowe and Andrew Robertson. Ushers were Henry Lawrie, Cayton Lawrie and Richard Rowe II.

A reception was held at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Ludington.

The bride is a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. She is employed by Barnes and Noble. The groom is pursuing a degree in engineering at Michigan State University in Lansing, Mich.

The honeymoon was taken to Epworth with a deferred honeymoon planned for Mexico at a later date.

Williams - Autman

Pamela Williams and Terence Autman, both of Bourbonnais, were married June 23, 2007, at Second Baptist Church in Kankakee. Rev. Jesse L. Johnson performed the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her son, Shaun Thomas.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara Williams of St. Anne, and the late Sammy L. Davis. The groom is the son of Jesse and Gloria Autman of Kankakee.

The bride wore an ivory satin, strapless gown with a beaded bodice and chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of roses.

Matron of honor was Natalie Hundley. Maid of honor was Tina Williams, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Tamara Autman, the groom’s sister; Melissa Contreras, and Rosie Morrow. Flower girls were Kierra Thomas, the bride’s daughter; Tiasja Williams and Ronisha Hundley.

Best men were Tawone Autman, the groom’s brother; and Curtis Butler Jr. Groomsmen were Sammy Williams, the bride’s brother; Jermel Autman and Tommie Lindsey.

A reception was held at Market Hall in Kankakee.

The bride is a graduate of Kankakee Community College. She is employed by the Kankakee Pain Center. The groom is a graduate of St. Anne High School. He is employed by American Spring and Wire.

The honeymoon will be taken to Las Vegas in December.

Aguilera - Kenison

Valerie Aguilera of Chula Vista, Calif., and Joshua Kenison of Limestone were married March 23, 2007, at Leavenworth County District Courthouse in Leavenworth, Kansas. Judge Sunby performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Alicia Aguilera of Chula Vista and the late Alfredo Aguilera. The groom is the son of Kevin Kenison of Limestone and Sherry Kenison of Bourbonnais.

Matron of honor was Brenda Hough.

Best man was Timothy Mayer.

The bride is a graduate of Chula Vista High School, Calif. The groom is a graduate of Herscher High School.

The two are both sergeants in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Miller - O’Connor

Sarah Miller of Bremen, Ind., and Ryan O’Connor of Herscher, were married July 21, 2007, at Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Rev. Timothy Scully performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Chet and Carolyn Miller of Bremen. The groom is the son of Rosemary O’Connor of Kankakee, and Glen and Marcia O’Connor of Herscher.

Matron of honor was Kati Rothgery, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Megan and Erin O’Connor, the groom’s sisters; Emily Werner and Karen Benedetti. Flower girl was Payton Jacob.

Best man was Todd Jacob. Groomsmen were Daren Kuntz, the groom’s cousin; Paul Rothgery, the bride’s brother-in-law; Todd Reffett and Jason Brown.

A reception was held in Windsor Park in Mishawaka, Ind.

The couple graduated from the University of Notre Dame. They are both employed by St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.

Brutlag - Woods

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Cheryl Brutlag of Herscher. The groom is the son of Peter and Virginia Woods of Oak Park.

Maids of honor were Tiffany Emery and Kristy Britt, the bride’s sisters. Bridesmaids were Brigid Woods, the groom’s sister; Melissa Kemp and Erica Elsasser. Flower girls were Kathryn Kirstein and Loryn Elsasser.

The bride received a master’s degree in speech pathology from Miami University of Ohio. She is employed by St. Charles School District in St. Charles, Mo. The groom received a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. He is a logistic specialist for Safeco Insurance.

Hutson - Shalley

Angela Hutson and Kyle Shalley, both of Bourbonnais, were married June 21, 2007, in a beachside ceremony in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Linda Karraker of Bradley. The groom is the son of Larry and Marta Shalley of Bourbonnais.

The bride wore a one-piece A-line gown of chiffon with a lace halter neckline. The gown featured an open back with criss-cross straps. The back of the gown flowed into a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of tropical flowers.

Matron of honor was Michele Denault, the bride’s cousin. Bridesmaid was Keri Johnson.

Groomsmen were Andy Magruder and Gary Freedlund.

A reception was held at the Quality Inn & Suites in Bradley.

The bride is a clerk at the Bradley Post Office. The groom is a phone technician for AT&T in Griffith, Ind.

The honeymoon was also taken in Punta Cana.

Sullivan - Golwitzer

The bride is the daughter of David and Janet Sullivan of Wilmington. The groom is the son of George and Theresa Golwitzer of Bradley.

Maid of honor was Courtney Spagnoli. Bridesmaids were Kristyn Goodwin, the bride’s cousin; Amanda Dykstra, the groom’s sister; and Lindsey Hoffman. Flower girl was Emma Spagnoli.

Memenga - Kuehn

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Pat Memenga of Bourbonnais. The groom is the son of Lori Olson of Crystal Lake and
Walter Kuehn of Sun City Center, Fla.

Maid of honor was Kristen Memenga, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Lisa Lotz, the groom’s sister; Melissa Hartley, Kate Meister and Amber Elroy.
