CMU to play Michigan, Minnesota in men's basketball
MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan University's men's basketball team faces a tough nonconference schedule prior to opening the Mid-American Conference season on Jan. 6.
The Chippewas will play road games against Big Ten opponents Michigan on Dec. 15 and Minnesota on Nov. 24. Also, CMU will play in the O'Reilly Auto Parts College Basketball Experience hosted by the University of Missouri.
CMU also plays nonconference road games at Niagara (Nov. 16), Detroit (Dec. 1), Robert Morris (Dec. 5) and Cleveland State (Dec. 22).
CMU plays just three home nonconference games -- against Illinois-Chicago (Nov. 28), Cal-State Fullerton (Dec. 8) and Tiffin (Dec. 29).
CMU opens the MAC season at home on Jan. 6 against in-state rival Eastern Michigan. CMU plays 16 MAC games before the conference tournament begins on March 12.
