LOS ANGELES — Vincent Salvaticoand Jacobo Vera each found the net as Penn State blanked Cal State-Fullerton 2-0 on Friday night.

Both goals came in the second half. Salvatico scored his goal from short range just 1:57 after intermission from Jon Davidsson.Vera then netted the insurance goal at 79:59 from the top of the penalty box from Jason Yeisley.

Conrad Taylorneeded to make just one save for his first shutout of the season and eighth of his career for the Nittany Lions (2-3), who face UCLA on Sunday.
