U-M women suffer two defeats at same time
Wolverines lose 2-0 to Marquette in soccer, 3-1 to UConn in field hockey

Side-by-side games turned in side-by-side losses for the University of Michigan field hockey and women's soccer teams on Sunday afternoon.
The Wolverines lost to Marquette in soccer 2-0, in a game that started an hour before Michigan's 3-1 field hockey loss to Connecticut.
The Michigan field hockey team (2-4) tied the game at 1 with Lucia Belassi's goal at 11 minutes, 52 seconds, and the Huskies scored what proved to be the game winner at 37:45.
The Wolverines outshot Connecticut 16-15, and Paige Pickett made six saves.
On the soccer field, Michigan (1-1-1) outshot Marquette 15-13 as Madison Gates made four saves.
The Golden Eagles scored in the 68th minute and again with 10 seconds left.
MEN'S SOCCER
Michigan 4, Cal State-Fullerton 0 - At Fullerton, Calif., Mauro Fuzetti, Jake Stacy, Matt Schmitt and Daniel Gray each scored as Michigan (4-0-0) won its fourth consecutive game.
WOMEN'S GOLF
Mary Fossum Invitational - Michigan was fourth in the three-round event at 916, and host Michigan State was first at 896 at Forest Akers West. Lydia Benitez Colon and Ashley Bauer led Michigan by tying for 19th at 14-over-par 230, 16 shots off the lead.
