Rapinoe, Budge Earn National Weekly Honors

Portland seniors Rachael Rapinoe and Natalie Budge earned national team of the week honors after helping Portland defeat Florida State 2-1 on Saturday. Rapinoe and Budge each scored goals as the Pilots came from behind to beat the Seminoles in a top-10 matchup.
Rapinoe was named to the Soccer Buzz, Soccer America and Top Drawer Soccer teams of the week, while Budge joined her teammate on Soccer Buzz list.
Rapinoe scored the game-winning goal in overtime and unleashed a game-high seven shots in Portland's 2-1 win on Saturday. She was also named the West Coast Conference co-player of the week.
Budge tallied the equalizer against the Seminoles midway through the second half.
Both players started this week off hot in a 4-1 win over Oregon State. Budge logged two goals and an assist, while Rapinoe accounted for Portland's other two goals.
The Pilots will next travel to Seattle, Wash. for the Nike Husky Invitational. Portland will face Cal State Fullerton on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Purdue on Sunday at 11 a.m.
