Daily Sparks Tribune has new editor from Calif.
SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Nathan Orme, a former writer and editor for several California publications, has been named the editor of The Daily Sparks Tribune, the newspaper's publisher said.
Orme replaces Angela Mann, who resigned earlier this year to pursue other opportunities, publisher Ed McCaffrey announced Tuesday.
Orme is a 1998 graduate of California State University, Fullerton. He has worked as a staff writer for The Californian newspaper in Temecula, Calif., and as senior editor with Los Angeles Lifestyle & Golf magazine in Santa Ana, Calif..
He also was managing editor of two monthly newsletters on tax and finance based in Anaheim, Calif.
"The people of Sparks enjoy living here because of the small-town feel," Orme said. "The Tribune is perfectly poised to give them the news they want and expect from a small-town paper while expanding with the growing population."
