SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - The Daily Sparks Tribune has a new editor. He's Nathan Orme, a former writer and editor for several publications in California.Newspaper publisher Ed McCaffrey announced today that Orme is replacing Angela Mann, who resigned earlier this year to pursue other opportunities.
Orme is a 1998 graduate of California State University, Fullerton. He has worked as a staff writer for The Californian newspaper in Temecula and as senior editor of Los Angeles Lifestyle & Golf magazine in Santa Ana. He also was managing editor of 2 monthly newsletters on tax and finance based in Anaheim, Calif.
Orme says the people of Sparks enjoy living there because of the small-town feel. He says the newspaper is well positioned to give them the news they want and expect from a small-town paper, while also expanding with the growing population.
