U.S. flag desecrated

Cal State Fullerton University police are seeking the public’s help in finding the person or persons responsible for burning the American flag at The Arboretum last week.

Arboretum Director Greg Dyment reported his staff found the flag Friday morning in front of the Heritage House. The flag had been taken down, “wadded up” and set afire in front of the historic home.

Desecrating a flag carries a maximum $1,000 fine or one year in jail or both.
