AU hires baseball assistant
AUBURN -- Bill Mosiello, a coach with links to the SEC and professional baseball, was named an Auburn baseball assistant Thursday.
Mosiello replaces Matt Myers, who left the team last month.
Mosiello, 42, spent 2006 as the hitting coach for Southern California. Before that, he spent four years in the New York Yankees organization, including two years as manager of the Charleston RiverDogs, a Single-A team in the South Atlantic League.
A Fresno State graduate, Mosiello has also coached at Cerritos College, Cal State Fullerton, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Arizona State.
