10 agencies to conduct increased DUI patrols
Beefed-up effort comes during week of July 4 holiday.

The Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, California Highway Patrol, Cal State Fullerton, Cypress, Fullerton, La Habra, La Palma and Placentia law enforcement agencies will be conducting increased DUI patrols from Friday through July 6.

The agencies are part of a two-year grant program funded by the Office of Traffic Safety, which conducts a DUI enforcement activity each month.

DUI enforcement activities include DUI patrols and checkpoints, and DUI warrant and parolee compliance checks. The goal of the grant is to reduce the incidence of fatalities, injuries and property damage due to drunken driving on highways.
