Robert Lozano, who served as a sixth-grade teacher and assistant principal at Eastside Christian Elementary School from 1982 to 1990, has returned to fill the principal post.

He replaces Karen Fields, who will retire after 22 years of service to the private school.

Eastside Christian’s elementary enrollment is 250.

The junior high and high schools are located on the Grace Ministries campus on west Valencia Drive.

After leaving Eastside, Lozano and his family moved to Tennessee to further his education.

He is an ordained minister, and has served as a Christian school educator for more than 25 years.

Lozano graduated from Johnson Bible College with a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education with a major in Bible, and from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Education.

He also received a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Cal State Fullerton and a doctorate of philosophy in Religion and Societal Studies from Oxford Graduate School.

He and Marla, his wife of 34 years, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.

The couple plans to relocate to Fullerton.
