From Wire Dispatches
The winner of today's Louisville-Oklahoma State showdown will play its College World Series opener against Rice, which advanced yesterday by beating Texas A&M 5-2.

Host Arizona State fell to Mississippi 3-1 in their opener.
California-Irvine right-hander Scott Gorgen beat host Wichita State 1-0 in their opener.
Cal State Fullerton dominated visiting UCLA 12-2 in their first game.
Rain postponed the opener between host Oregon State and Michigan.
South Carolina, which lost Friday's opener, led host North Carolina 8-5 in the bottom of the seventh when a storm halted the game until today. A decisive third game will follow if necessary.
