Fuji to coach Lutheran South

Lutheran South has hired its boys and girls basketball coaches.

Richard Fujii, an assistant coach at El Dorado the past five seasons, will coach the boys team, and Kelsi Sousa Walker, an assistant last season at Woodbridge, will coach the girls. Sousa Walker was an All-CIF player at Woodbridge.

COLLEGE COMMITMENTS

Pitchers Nick Ramirez of Katella has committed to Cal State Fullerton, and Matt Sisto of Cypress committed to Cal. Both are graduating seniors. …

Esperanza thrower Katharine Laich, a senior, said she will attend UCLA with a partial scholarship. She competes in the discus, shot put, hammer, javelin and weight throws.
