Number One Seed Vanderbilt Out In Regionals
The overall number seed in the college baseball had its season end on Monday when Vanderbilt was beaten by Michigan 4-3 in 10 innings.
Michigan now advances to a Super Regional for the first time in school history.
Elsewhere on Monday, North Carolina goes to a Super Regional after a 6-5 win over Western Carolina in a regional final. Clemson wins its regional with a 15-3 win over Coastal Carolina to advance to a Super Regional as well.
Louisville won a regional at Missouri with a 16-6 win over the Tigers to move to a Super Regional and South Carolina is also going to a Super Regional after winning its regional on Monday by beating Charlotte 11-6. UC Irvine knocks out top eight national seed Texas 9-6 to go to a Super Regional as well.
Today, defending national champion Oregon State plays Virginia at Virginia for the right to advance to a Super Regional.
Other teams already in a Super Regional include Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arizona State, Rice, UCLA, and Cal State Fullerton.
