Visitors to the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary tour the facilities and hear about some of the many cacti, other plants and wildlife found there. As part of the Oct. 7 open house, community members heard about plans to renovate the center’s amphitheater and other areas of the sanctuary. The 12-acre nature preserve is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. For more information about the renovation plans or how to donate to the sanctuary, call Karen Cornell, center director, at 657-278-3896 or visit their website.
