Plight of Asian Apes to be Discussed April 25

The Cal State Fullerton chapter of Roots and Shoots, an international student organization founded by Jane Goodall, sponsors its 10th annual symposium at 6:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Humanities-Social Sciences Building.

The program will feature Alan Mootnick, founder and director of the Gibbon Conservation Center in Santa Clarita. Also speaking is Raffaella Commitante, lecturer in anthropology, who has researched orangutans in Borneo.

The public is welcome, and there will be a raffle and a coloring contest for kids. For more information, call Sara Johnson of Anthropology at 278-5762.
