Career Opportunities Abound at April 23 Internship & Job Fair

Hundreds of Employers to Participate in Career Center Event

Cal State Fullerton's Career Center Internship & Job Fair this week will feature more than 230 employers, representing a variety of industries from accounting and banking, marketing and advertising, government, education and law enforcement.

Among the companies taking part in the April 23 are: Barnes Distribution, BSH Home Appliances Corp., The Capital Group Companies Inc., Century 21 Beachside Realtors, Cintas Corp., Cox Communications, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, HSBC, Ingram Micro, J. Fletcher Creamer & Son Inc., Kraft Foods Inc., Los Angeles Unified School District Classified Recruitment Branch, Marriott Newport Coast Villas, Mercury Insurance Group, Montage Resort & Spa, Pacific Life Insurance, Target Stores and Thorpe Technologies Inc., among others.

This 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event in the Quad gives students a chance to meet, network and interview with prospective employers.

"Despite a tightening market for this year's college graduates, employer participation in the Internship & Job Fair remains strong,' said Jim Case, Career Center director.

The Career Center offers a variety of services and online resources to help students research companies and organizations, write a resume, prepare for interviews - and land a job. Programs include "Dress for Success,' on making a good impression with potential employers; and "Polish Your Resume,' on making a resume professional and noteworthy.

The center also offers practice interviews and a website that helps students connect majors with careers.
