City Honors Titan Basketball Team for Successful Season

The city of Fullerton will recognize the Cal State Fullerton's men's basketball team for its successful 2007-08 season tonight (April 15) when the City Council presents a proclamation at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall.

Coach Bob Burton and his team are expected to be in attendance along with President Milton A. Gordon and Director of Athletics Brian Quinn.

The Titans shared the Big West Conference regular season championship and won the post-season tourney title to earn the school's first NCAA Tournament berth in 30 years, where they lost to Wisconsin in the first round. The final 24-9 record is the school's best Division I record ever and marks the fourth consecutive winning season, including back-to-back 20-victory campaigns.
