Motivating young people to attain a college education is the aim of "Querer es Poder: 50 Examples," a photo exhibit of 50 of Cal State Fullerton's successful Latino alumni on display at Irvine City Hall April 14-25. A reception for the photo showcase will be held form 5-6 p.m. April 22.

The traveling photo exhibit, part of Cal State Fullerton's 50th anniversary celebration, debuted at Santa Ana City Hall in March.

Querer es poder is Spanish for "if you have the desire, you can achieve." In recognition of its Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) designation, the university's photo exhibit features 50 alumni, who exemplify the querer es poder theme.

The public is welcome to view the photo exhibit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

To attend the reception, call 657-278-7586.

The exhibit will move to Fullerton City Hall on May 5 and remain there through May 15. For more information, visit http://www.fullerton.edu/50/events/50examples
