Grab your garden gloves and wagon and head to the Fullerton Arboretum for its annual Green Scene Plant & Garden Show 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 21 and 22.
Spread along the trails of the 26-acre botanical garden, more than 80 exhibitors will offer a variety of plants, art and accessories to garden enthusiasts and horticultural experts. Included will be numerous native Australian plants and South African varieties, as well as drought-tolerant plants from Mediterranean regions, cactus and succulents; geraniums; epiphyllums; tropical, perennial and carnivorous plants; and container displays.
A new addition to the ‘scene’ will be miniature roses, which will be available in the Potting Shed. The Kofu Bonsai Society will present a bonsai tree exhibit, and in the Children’s Garden, youngsters can take home their own free seed planting kit, as well as participate in a guided bug safari.
Pre-sale tickets for Green Scene Plant & Garden Show can be purchased at the Fullerton Arboretum office, all Knowlwood Restaurants and the Potting Shed on weekends for $5; admission at the door is $6. Friends of the Fullerton Arboretum members and children under 12 years are free.
