Eugene Brooks Makes All-American Academic Team

Titan senior forward Eugene Brooks has been selected to the ESPN Magazine’s Academic All-America men’s soccer first team. The announcement follows his naming to the Academic All-District 8 team in November. Both announcements were made by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
            
The El Paso, Texas native majors in biochemistry and carries a grade point average of 3.84. He is a leading scorer in the Big West Conference with 12 goals and 26 points and is tied for eighth best on the Titans’ list of single-season totals. He earlier earned first-team All–Big West Conference honors to go with honorable mentions in 2002 and 2005.
            
The last Titan to earn Academic All-America first-team honors was baseball pitcher John Smith in 2000 and 2001.
