Designed to Sell: The Art of Advertising

For centuries, graphic art has been widely used to design trademarks, labels, signage and other street advertising. Early use of graphical symbols can be seen in coats of arms, family crests and battle flags -- today's equivalent of logo design for corporate identity and marketing. Curated primarily from private collections, "Designed to Sell" offers a glimpse into the different styles in graphics, packaging, concepts of design and the "art of seduction" in advertising.
