Project MISS

Exploring Mathematics — Cal State Fullerton’s Project MISS (Mathematics Intensive Summer Session) kicks off its 15th year July 6 with algebra II and precalculus programs for 10th- and 11th-graders from Orange County and surrounding communities. The four-week program was created by David L. Pagni, professor of mathematics, to address the needs of female high school students seeking additional assistance in mathematics, as well as to encourage young women to pursue careers in science and mathematics. The program offers six hours of study each day, as well as experiences in college life and opportunities to explore career options. One of this year’s sessions is for high school boys.
