Holocaust Remembrance Day: Michael Bazyler, author of “Holocaust Justice: The Battle for Restitution in America’s Courts” and the son of a Holocaust survivor, will speak on “Profiting from the Holocaust and the Battle for Justice in American Courts” at noon Tuesday, April 20, in the Titan Student Union’s Titan Theatre. A reception and book signing will follow. Bazyler’s talk is part of Cal State Fullerton’s Holocaust Remembrance Day and is sponsored by the Department of Comparative Religion and Hillel, the Jewish Student Union. Rabbi Ken Milhander of Temple Beth Tikvah also will give a brief talk. Open to the public.

Earth Day Festival: Cal State Fullerton will celebrate Earth Day from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, April 22, in the Quad. Attendees can enjoy entertainment, see a display of fuel-efficient vehicles, check out local environmental organizations, and donate blood or become a bone marrow donor. Visitors also are invited to bring their empty cans and bottles to be recycled. The event is sponsored by Campus Greens and the Volunteer & Service Center. In addition, the Volunteer & Service Center is sponsoring a community service project Saturday, April 24, restoring habitats in the Newport Back Bay area. To participate, call 657-278-7623.

New Testament Scholar to Speak: Gregory Riley, author of “One Jesus, Many Christs: How Jesus Inspired Not One True Christianity, but Many,” will give an address at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, in Room 130, Pollak Library. Riley will speak on “From Greek Science, Through Gnosticism, to the Trinity.” The Comparative Religion Student Association and the Department of Comparative Religion are sponsoring the talk. Open to the public.

Democracy Panel Discussion: Cal State Fullerton’s Phi Beta Delta chapter is sponsoring a panel discussion on “The Future of Democracy” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, in Room 360 of the Pollak Library. Panel participants include Kristine Dennehy, assistant professor of history; Nancy Snow, assistant professor of communications; and students Sylvie Widjaja and Brandon Reilly. The panel will be moderated by Jochen Burgtorf, assistant professor of history. Phi Beta Delta is the honor society for international scholars.
