Cal State Fullerton Hosts Mini-Medical School Spring Series

What: Beginning Saturday, Cal State Fullerton will host a four-part lecture series designed to offer the community an opportunity to obtain information about current health topics. Mini-Medical School will familiarize attendees with modern medical curricula and current medical practices.
   
Who: The spring series features issues pertinent to women presented by women doctors and faculty members from UC Irvine, as well as Pauline Abbott, director of the Cal State Fullerton Institute of Gerontology. She will address each session.
   
Where: Ruby Gerontology Center at Cal State Fullerton

Saturdays, 10 a.m.-noon
March 27 – “Your Healthy Bones” presented by Hilary Siebens, professor of medicine, geriatrics at UCI

April 3 – “Your Healthy Skin” presented by Kristen Kelly, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at UCI

April 24 – “Your Healthy Mind” presented by Laura Mosqueda, associate professor of clinical family medicine at UCI

May 8 – “Your Healthy Heart” presented by Jagat Narula, chief of UCI’s cardiology division.

   
Sponsor: The series is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a grant-funded program that serves as one of Cal State Fullerton’s resources for courses, services and activities geared for senior scholars, age 50 and older.
