Background:

Andrea Dieci was born in Milan in 1969, and has studied throughout Europe at the G. Verdi Conservatory, Siena’s Accademia Musicale Chigiana, the Solistendiplom and the Musikakademie in Basle, Switzerland where he studied with Oscar Ghiglia. Winner of some of the most prestigious music competitions, including Cosenza “De Bonis,” Gargnano and Lagonegro, he has also received Rotary Club’s prize for exemplary service to performance. He has worked with recording labels MAP, Bèrben and Nuova Era producing four CDs, which have been highly praised by numerous music magazines. His most recent, dedicated to the complete works for solo guitar by Toru Takemitsu, will be released this year. Dieci has performed throughout Europe, the USA, South America, Asia and Africa in solo recitals and festivals including the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds. He has been featured on the BBC and on radio and TV stations in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, USA and Tunisia, and has been recognized as a teacher presenting master classes in throughout the world.
