“Everything’s Coming up Music” teams two of Broadway’s top performers Michael Maguire and Tami Tappan for an evening of favorite show tunes and standards. Including hits from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Misérables,” “The Music Man,” the evening also features selections from a wide variety of shows by Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim.

Tony Award winner Michael Maguire, a for his role in “Les Misérables,” took New York by storm with his spellbinding debut performance as the revolutionary Enjolras (landing on the cover of Newsweek) and won virtually every major theater award that season. He recreated this role at the Royal Albert Hall in London as a member of the “Dream Cast” celebrating the 10th anniversary of “Les Miz,” a concert that has been broadcast nationally on PBS and around the world. A singer of unparalleled range, he has performed with major symphonies and opera companies throughout the country. At the New York City Opera he starred as Count Carl Magnus in “A Little Night Music” which was subsequently broadcast on PBS. He has sung extensively with over 120 symphony orchestras nationwide, including the Cleveland, Minnesota, Kansas City, St. Louis, Buffalo, Columbus, Seattle, Utah and National symphonies. He starred nationally in musicals including “Carousel,” “Brigadoon,” “Kismet,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” Side by Side,” “110 in the Shade” and “Showboat.” He teamed up with fellow Tony winner Debbie Gravitte to create their critically acclaimed show “Direct from Broadway,” which debuted at the Kennedy Center in Washington, and has toured nationally including an appearance on Cal State Fullerton’s 1994-95 PAIR Celebrity Series.

Tami Tappan has appeared as soloist in “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” with both Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. She starred in the role of Ellen in the Los Angeles production of “Miss Saigon” and repeated this role on Broadway, where she also appeared as Roxanne in “Cyrano.” Her regional credits include “Hello Again” (Blank Theatre Company), “Blame it on the Movies” (Pasadena Playhouse) and “Baby” and “Bells are Ringing” (Music Theatre Guild). On television she has been seen in “Third Rock from the Sun,” “The Good Doctor,” “The Paul Fleiss Story” and “Sunset Beach.” She has previously been seen by Orange County audiences when she appeared in “Grand Night for Singing” as part of the 1999-00 PAIR Celebrity Series.
