The Cao Dai Church in Tay Ninh, South Vietnam
This inlay of the Cao Dai Church is decorated
with pearl shells. Caodaism is a unique religion in South
Vietnam recognized by the symbol of the left eye. The headquarters
of Caodaism is in Tay Ninh province, about 80 km from Saigon.
Founded in 1920, Caodaism claims to be the synthesis of
Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, Confucianism, and the philosophies
of Victor Hugo.
