This inlay of the Cao Dai Church is decorated with pearl shells. Caodaism is a unique religion in South Vietnam recognized by the symbol of the left eye. The headquarters of Caodaism is in Tay Ninh province, about 80 km from Saigon. Founded in 1920, Caodaism claims to be the synthesis of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, Confucianism, and the philosophies of Victor Hugo.
