Third Annual Town Hall on Health March 16

Health disparities, disease prevention and challenges will be addressed March 16 at the third annual Town Hall Forum, “Working Together for a Healthier Orange County,” sponsored by Cal State Fullerton’s Health Promotion Research Institute.

Who:

Lark Galloway-Gilliam, executive director of Community Health Councils, a Los Angeles-based health promotion, advocacy and policy organization, will give the keynote address, “Positioning Orange County to Leverage Funding for Collaborative Disease Prevention.”
Other forum speakers include: physician Helene Calvet, deputy county health officer at the Orange County Health Care Agency; CSUF alumnus Alejandro Espinoza, program coordinator of chronic diseases and special projects at Latino Health Access; C. Jessie Jones, CSUF chair and professor of health science; Shari G. McMahan, dean of CSUF's College of Health and Human Development; Barry Ross, vice president of healthy communities at St. Jude Medical Center, chair of Fullerton Collaborative, vice chair of La Habra Collaborative and chair of the Orange County Nutrition and Physical Activity Collaborative; and Sora Park Tanjasiri, professor of health science and director of CSUF's Health Promotion Research Institute.
