Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day

Opportunity for New and Future Titans to Learn About University

What:      

Incoming freshmen, community college transfer students and graduate students, as well as prospective CSUF students, their families and friends, will visit the campus April 14 to find out more about the university and what it has to offer. The event, featuring tours, informational workshops and resource fair, is free and open to the public.

When:      

Saturday, April 14
8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Schedule:

8:30 a.m.      Welcome remarks and event and workshop information are offered on the lawn west of the College of Engineering and Computer Science buildings.

9 a.m.-noon      Resource Fair with information about the university’s eight colleges, degree programs, student services and campus clubs and organizations is offered in the Quad, the lawn adjacent to the Engineering and Computer Science buildings and outside Steven G. Mihaylo Hall.

9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tours of the campus, including the Student Recreation Center, new student housing complex and Gastronome dining facility, begin in the Quad.

9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.      Workshops are offered on such topics as financial aid, freshman programs, orientation requirements, student housing options, plus other useful information for new students. Sessions targeting community college transfer students, future teachers and graduate students also are offered at various campus locations.

Why:      

“This is an opportunity for Cal State Fullerton to show our Titan Pride to our new fall students, as well as to others considering our university in the future,” said Delia Tijerina, assistant director of pre-college programs in the Office of University Outreach. “We’re proud of our campus and believe that when students and their families know more about us, they will share our enthusiasm.”

Registration:      

Pre-registration is open through April 13; registration on day of event begins at 8 a.m.

Parking:      

Free parking is available in both the State College and Nutwood parking structures (off State College Boulevard and Nutwood Avenue, respectively). Map and directions available online.
