Thriving in retirement, reducing fall risk, care giving and self defense are among the topics to be discussed at the North Orange County Senior Summit, “New Opportunities in Aging,” June 9 at Cal State Fullerton. The event is free and open to the public.

The summit, hosted by Orange County Supervisor Shawn Nelson, features presentations, exhibitors and health screenings. Scheduled speakers include Pauline Abbott, former director of Cal State Fullerton's Institute of Gerontology; Debra J. Rose, professor of kinesiology and director of CSUF’s Center for Successful Aging; and members of the university’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
