Playwright and filmmaker Mildred Lewis will visit Cal State Fullerton April 26 to provide an industry perspective on writing drama for stage, screen, television and the Internet. The talk, sponsored by CSUF's English, Comparative Literature and Linguistics Department, is free and open to the public.

Background:
Mildred Lewis began her career as a theater director at the Actors Studio in New York. After earning her M.F.A. in film and television at UCLA, she began producing drama internationally. Her screenplays have appeared on HBO and Encore/Starz, and her plays have been performed in theaters in Los Angeles, New York and Cincinnati. Since 2000, she has been teaching film, English and digital humanities at Chapman University.
