Expert linguists will discuss topics ranging from bilingualism to universal grammar at the 21st annual Linguistics Symposium April 9 at Cal State Fullerton. The event is free and open to the public.

10:20 a.m. “Deleting Deletion” presented by Ed Zoerner, chair of English at Cal State Dominguez Hills
1 p.m. “Testing the Universal Grammar Hypothesis: The Contribution of Computational Modeling” offered by Lisa Pearl, assistant professor of cognitive sciences at UC Irvine
2:30 p.m. “Bilingualism in Los Angeles and Orange County” presented by Fredric Field, associate professor of English at Cal State Northridge
