“The Fate of Aerospace” is the topic of a presentation by aerospace veteran Gerald “Jerry” Blackburn at Cal State Fullerton's College of Engineering and Computer Science Technology Breakfast. The event, presented by ECS Affiliates, is open to the public, as well as members of the campus community.

Who:
Featured speaker Gerald “Jerry” Blackburn is president of Aerospace Legacy Foundation and a 40-year veteran in the aerospace industry. An educator and business leader, he serves on the California State Department of Education Advisory Committee for Career Technology Education and is the author of “Downey’s Aerospace History: 1947-1999” (Arcadia Publishing). Blackburn was a project manager with the Boeing Space and Communication Corp. and retired in 2003. His career spanned the manned space program — from the X-15 at North American Aviation to the Apollo, Saturn SII, space shuttle and International Space Station programs.
Presentation:
Blackburn, who holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and has taught at UCLA and USC, will discuss what lies ahead in the aerospace industry, including commercial space travel, interplanetary colonization, new pioneers in space and globalization impacts.
