Actress Kristen Bell Keynotes Rep. Ed Royce's Annual Women's Conference

Campus and community members are invited to attend the third annual Women’s Conference Saturday, April 2, hosted by U.S. Rep. Ed Royce in conjunction with Cal State Fullerton’s Women and Philanthropy Network. The program is free and open to the public.
Who:
Actress Kristen Bell, best known for her roles in the romantic comedy “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and the TV series “Veronica Mars,” will deliver the keynote address. She is a supporter of Invisible Children, a group dedicated to creating awareness about the plight of child soldiers in Uganda.

Conference Sessions:
- “Stress Management: Achieving the Work/Life Balance” explores the causes of stress and its impact on personal and work lives. Issues discussed include ways to identify stressors, manage stress effectively, and adapt a pattern of behaviors and attitudes that help reduce the development of stress.
- “A Woman’s Guide to Money Matters” is designed to teach women the skills necessary to take control of their financial lives by examining their values and setting specific, realistic and measurable goals.
- “The Safety Chick: Five Safety Tips EVERY Woman Should Know” presented by personal safety/crime prevention expert Kathleen Batty. She will cover five areas of personal safety where women are most vulnerable, and give participants tips and tools that can help keep them and their families safe from crime.
- “Eating Right to Look and Feel Your Best: A Woman’s Guide to Nutrition” focuses on the different nutrients a woman’s body requires and how to maintain a healthy diet.
- “Tips for Job Seekers” will offer strategies for landing a job. Topics to be discussed include mastering a first impression, standing out from the crowd and hooking your interviewer.
