May 17 Program on Hiring and Keeping the Right People in Your Business

Gary Ridge, president of the WD-40 Co. and co-author of “Helping People Win at Work,” will share his secrets for a successful business by not only hiring the right people, but implementing a performance review system that enables everyone to win, at the May 17 Family Business Council program, which is sponsored by Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.

Parking is on the top level of the Fullerton Marriott parking structure at the corner of Nutwood Avenue and Folino Drive. Cost is $5.

Ridge teaches leadership, talent management and succession planning at the University of San Diego’s Executive Leadership Program. He was named Director of the Year for Enhancement of Economic Value by the Corporate Director’s Forum. A native Australian, he has served as national vice president of the Australian Institute and the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association.

Background:

The Family Business Council, operating within the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, is a partnership between the business community and university. Its mission is to enhance the well-being and survivability of family businesses by providing opportunities for education, interaction and information tailored to business needs and concerns.

Cost:
