What’s Next in the Economic Recovery?

Midyear Economic Forecast Slated April 20

What/Who:
Despite the recent uptake in employment, concerns about the current economy persist. What does the future hold for housing, retail sales, exports/imports and investments? Economists Anil Puri, co-director of Cal State Fullerton’s Institute for Economic and Environmental Studies, and Mira Farka, assistant professor of economics, will discuss these and other issues during the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics’ annual Midyear Economic Forecast.

Background:
Anil Puri has served as dean of Mihaylo College of Business and Economics since 1999. As co-director of the Institute for Economic and Environmental Studies, he has provided economic forecasts twice a year for 16 years and led the institute in numerous studies and policy advice on economic and environmental issues. 

Before joining CSUF, Mira Farka worked on Wall Street as a research consultant and as an economist with Deutsche Bank in New York, where she was responsible for designing economic and statistical models to forecast currency rates, stock returns and macroeconomic indicators.
