About the film:

“From Place to Place,” a film by Matt Anderson, tells the story of the children who grow up in the foster care system, then at age 18, are sent into society to make it on their own. The community forum focuses on bringing together foster youth, professionals and community members to discuss comprehensive reform of the foster care system in America.

Guardian Scholars:

Established in 1998, the Cal State Fullerton Guardian Scholars program works in collaboration with Orangewood Children’s Foundation to help foster youth attain a college education. The Guardian Scholar program provides full scholarships, on-campus housing, employment opportunities, counseling, mentoring, health insurance, leadership development and other support services to meet the students needs. A group of 36 ethnically diverse former foster youth are currently in the program. Of those, seven scholars are expected to graduate this month.
