CSUF Hosts Geography Conference Nov. 18

What: “All Points of the Compass,” Cal State Fullerton's 15th annual geography conference, will feature lectures on globalization and retail development, among other geographic topics Nov. 18. The event is free and open to the public.
When: Friday, Nov. 18

Why: “The conference will provide an overview of the research projects pursued by Cal State Fullerton geographers, including practical applications of digital technology to monitor local weather and create an interactive campus map, the development of the retail sector in Orange County and global geopolitics,” said Mark H. Drayse, associate professor of geography and a conference organizer. “Other speakers will discuss field work in the Sierra Nevada. Our keynote speaker is a renowned political geographer, John Agnew, who will provide an overview of globalization from the perspective of political geography. The conference will conclude with a panel of CSUF geography alumni on the job opportunities available for geographers.”
