Award-winning author and investigative reporter Edwin Black will discuss his books and research during a Nov. 1 presentation, “Petropolitics, Oil and the Middle East,” sponsored by Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Leadership.

In addition to his 7 p.m. talk, Black will spend the day on campus as a guest speaker in management classes, and before faculty and staff members during an 11:30 a.m. talk. He also will present a 1 p.m. forum titled “The Farhud — The Arab-Nazi Alliance in the Holocaust” in the Titan Student Union’s Titan Theatre.
Background:
Black is the author of 10 books, including his most recent, “British Petroleum and the Redline Agreement,” published earlier this year. His bestsellers include “The Farhud,” “Nazi Nexus,” “Banking on Bagdad” and “IBM and the Holocaust.” His books have led to numerous honors, including Best Book of the Year award from the American Society of Journalists and Authors, American Jewish Press Association’s Rockower Award for Best Investigation of the Year, World Affairs Council Award-Great Lakes for Best World Affairs Book of the Year and Carl Sandburg Award for best nonfiction book. Black also is editor of the web publication the Cutting Edge News and his articles have appeared in such newspapers as the Chicago Tribune, Newsday, Village Voice and Washington Post, among others.
