Pro and Cons of Proposition 19 to Be Discussed Oct. 28

What:
 Cal State Fullerton’s departments of Criminal Justice, Geography and Sociology, with the Criminal Justice Student Association will host “Legally Stoned in California,” a free, public panel discussion on Proposition 19, the act that would regulate, control and tax cannabis. Californians are voting on the measure Nov. 2.

Who:
 Panelists include Stephen Gutwillig, California Director of the Drug Policy Alliance; Mark A.R. Kleiman, UCLA professor of public policy; Beau Kilmer, RAND Corp.’s Drug Policy Research Center co-director; and J. Hampton Atkinson, a medical doctor from UC San Diego’s Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research.

When:
 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28
