CSUF Business Dean to Welcome Governor's Conference Attendees

The Regional Small Business Development Center Network serving Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties are among the sponsors for the Tuesday, Oct. 19, Governor’s Conference on Small Business & Entrepreneurship.
“Where Do We Go From Here? Charting a New Course for Business Success” is the conference theme. Anil Puri, dean of Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, will give welcome remarks during the program lunch.
The free, daylong program is open to the public and will be held at the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim, 12021 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. with the program scheduled from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lunch is included.
Among the topics of discussion: “Re-examining Your Markets,” “Social Media and Online Marketing to Grow Sales,” “Getting a Piece of the Action (sales to federal and state government),” “Veterans Returning Home” and “Planning for the Unthinkable.”
Featured speakers include: Chuck Ashman, founder and CEO of SMA Global, and executive producer for Business Matchmaking; and Marty Keller of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
Since 2003, Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics has been responsible for the administration of the small business development centers in Fullerton, Santa Ana and Riverside. The Fullerton Lead Center, TriTech-Irvine, and Santa Ana and Riverside centers are underwritten by annual contracts awarded by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
