Cal State Fullerton Hosts National Fibromyalgia Day Event May 15

What:

Cal State Fullerton’s Fibromyalgia Research and Education Center and the National Fibromyalgia Association will present various free activities Saturday, May 15, on National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day — from 1K and 5K walks to a health fair, seminars and entertainment — in an effort to raise awareness about the chronic pain disorder.

11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
Wellness Fair, featuring health screenings, family activities, massages, food and product samples, services and fibromyalgia wellness information

12:30-5:15 p.m.
Educational seminars for health care professionals, those suffering from fibromyalgia, caregivers and friends

5:30 p.m.
1K and 5K “Walk of FAME”

6:30 p.m.
Dinner

7:30 p.m.
Closing “Lights of Hope” ceremony with special appearance by R&B singer Tony Terry
