Experts to Discuss New Research Feb. 17 at Cal State Fullerton

Cal State Fullerton's American Studies Student Association and Inter Club Council is presenting a Wednesday, Feb. 17, panel discussion on “New Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Race and Borderlands.”

WHO:

Panelists are:

  • José Limon, professor of anthropology, American studies, English literature and Mexican-American studies at the University of Texas
  • Kathleen Belew, Yale University graduate student
  • Geraldo Cadava, assistant professor of history at Northwestern University

Limon will discuss his new research into the literary construction of the U.S.-Mexico borderland; Belew will speak about relations during the Vietnam War and proliferating violence in Latin America and the United States; and Cadava will address the physical history of the US-Mexico borderland.
