Cal State Fullerton’s Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary turns itself into a nature fair Saturday, April 4, during the free Spring Bird Fair and Art Show. Artists will display their creations; musicians will perform; children can enjoy activities and crafts demonstrations; California native plants can be purchased; and a longtime resident of the area will share secrets of wildlife photography.
Saturday, April 4
9 am.-5 p.m.
29322 Modjeska Canyon Road, Modjeska Canyon, 92676
Featured artists are scratchboard specialist Dar Warner and painter Bruce Sanford Smith. Warner graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in theater arts and over the years, pursued fine arts, as well, taking several classes on campus. Smith, primarily a landscape artist, also attended CSUF and created the pen-and-ink drawing of Tucker’s Bird Porch that is now sold as a postcard at the sanctuary. Nature and wildlife photographer Jonathan Fleming will give the photography talks.
Included among those setting up nearly two dozen booths are Canyon Firewatch and Wild Birds Unlimited. Other booths will sell food, crafts and art.
Free. For more information, call 714-649-2760 or visit http://tuckerwildlife.org
