March 5 Conference on Literature, Culture and Language


The third annual Conference on Literature, Culture and Languages March 5 at Cal State Fullerton will focus on Asian, European and Latin cultures.

  • 9 a.m. — Japanese Culture with Brett Nomura, Ryan Cabal, Josephine Tu and Anthony Cilc and moderated by Kiyoko Ito. Ontiveros Room
  • 9 a.m. — Encounters Between Spain and Latin America with Roberto Ayala, Hermana Clara Garcia Rocha, Eduardo Medina and moderator Ruben Contreras. Alvarado Room B
  • 10 a.m. — Chinese Culture and Business with panelists Taryn Moore, Shuo-Heng Kao and Wan Chi Cheng. Alvarado Room A
  • 10 a.m. — Spanish American Literature, 20th Century discussed by Ruben Contreras and Jose Alfredo Contreras with moderator Melissa Gonzalez. Alvarado Room B
  • 10 a.m. — Women Protagonists in Spanish Literature with Yolanda Trujillo, Zorayda Contreras-Acevedo, Emily Younger and moderator Olga Alvarez. Gilman Room
  • 11 a.m. — TESOL: Language, Culture and Pedagogy featuring panelists Sue Shanley, Chad Davidson, Amparo Pedroza, Paul Vasquez and moderator Rich Wilson. Gilman Room
  • 1 p.m. — Spanish Language and Linguistics discussed by Eleni Christodulelis, Anna Díaz Villela and Zeyda Marsh with moderator Karia Roche. Alvarado Room A
  • 1 p.m. — Persian Film and Culture with Hanif Zarrabi-Kashani, Sara Tabatabaei and Andrea Saenz. Alvarado Room B
  • 2 p.m. — German Literature and Cinema with Asal Alimirzai and Kelly Burt with moderator Marjorie Tussing, professor of modern languages and literatures. Titan Theatre
