Learning Continues in Summer With Free OLLI Offerings

Cal State Fullerton Group Offers Speaker Presentations on Variety of Topics

Cal State Fullerton's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is offering a summer of lectures that appeal to a variety of interests.

Mackey Auditorium in the Ruby Gerontology Center

OLLI:

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a self-governing university support group of more than 875 retired and semiretired individuals dedicated to the pursuit of lifelong learning.

  • June 5 - "The Pasco Report" with Jean Pasco, director of the Orange County Archives and former political writer for the Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register

  • June 19 -"Putin's Russia: Old Wine in New Bottles?" with Robert S. Feldman, Cal State Fullerton emeritus professor of history

  • July 3 - "Can a Woman be Elected President?" with Sandra Sutphen, Cal State Fullerton emeritus professor of political science

  • July 17 - "Assimilation and the Challenge to American Institutions" with Gerald P. Rosen, Cal State Fullerton emeritus professor of sociology

  • July 31 - "Terrorism: A World in Shadows" with Robert Kline, lecturer at USC and Chapman University, and former 20th Century Fox executive vice president and co-founder of Lifetime Television

  • Aug. 5 - "History of African-Americans in the United States: A Timeline of the African-American Odyssey" with Ernest Bridges, CSUF lecturer in Afro-ethnic studies
