Cal State Fullerton Army ROTC Program Promotes Graduating Cadets

What:

Seventeen Army ROTC cadets, including the winner of the Omar Bradley Superior Cadet Scholarship Award, will be commissioned as second lieutenants during a May 17 ceremony at Cal State Fullerton. The CSUF program welcomes cadets from other universities, including Chapman University, UC Irvine and Vanguard University.

Honoree:

Sam is this year's top cadet. She received the Omar Bradley Superior Cadet Scholarship Award, with an encased pistol, for being ranked the No. 1 cadet in her battalion. The award is given to the cadet with the highest academic standing, best physical fitness and outstanding community service.

Next:

The soon-to-be officers will continue training in various branches, including military police, intelligence, infantry and armor, at military bases throughout the country. Once their training is complete, they will be deployed to Iraq or elsewhere.
