Coyote Hills Golf Course, 1440 E. Bastanchury Rd., Fullerton
Human stem cell research has ignited a firestorm of discussion and debate in the last decade. These “building blocks” of human physiology possess the capability of taking on the form and function of any cell in the body, says Patel, who is founder of Cal State Fullerton’s stem cell research lab. Researchers study how to guide such transformations so the cells will be suitable for research of such maladies as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
$10 for the public and free for Colleagues members.
